Who We Are
Joint & Copy is a cannabis blog writing and content strategy studio based in the heart of New York. We craft SEO-optimized blog posts and transform them into powerful content systems that don’t just look good — they rank, educate, and convert.
We partner with NYC cannabis brands — from premium flower to infused edibles — to develop content that informs, sells, and sticks. Our specialty? Helping New York weed companies stand out online with writing that actually connects. We bridge the gap between curious shoppers and complex cannabis language, turning terms like “terpenes” and “minor cannabinoids” into, “Yo… I need to try that.”
What We Do
We write content that’s:
✅ Compliant – Built around OCM rules, free of medical claims, and framed for adult-use education
🔍 SEO-Driven – Focused on real keywords your audience is Googling
🎙 Brand-Specific – Tailored to your voice and personality (no generic weed-speak)
♻️ Repurposed with Purpose – Turn one blog post into Instagram carousels, newsletters, budtender cheat sheets, and more
Whether you're launching a new infused gummy or reintroducing your legacy roots, we help your audience get it — and get excited to shop.
✍🏽 Our Services Include:
SEO Blog Writing · Content Repurposing · Budtender Cheat Sheets · Strategy Calendars · Brand Voice Development
Why We Exist
After years of working in NYC dispensaries and building cannabis marketing campaigns, we saw the same issue again and again: brands were talking, but customers weren’t getting it. The disconnect was real — between what’s on the label and what people actually want to know.
New Yorkers love weed. But the legal space is loud, complicated, and full of products fighting for attention with limited tools.
👉 Advertising? Heavily restricted.
👉 Social media? Unreliable.
👉 But Google? Google’s always open.
And blog content that ranks is still one of the most powerful — and overlooked — ways to build organic traffic, brand trust, and long-term growth. But not just any blog post will do.
That’s why Joint & Copy exists: to deliver voice-driven, conversion-ready content rooted in cannabis culture and New York reality.
Because this market is different — and your brand deserves strategy that understands that.

Meet the Founder.
I’m Velvet — a lifelong writer, cannabis consumer, and NYC budtender with Caribbean roots and a mind that knows how to sell good weed. I built Joint & Copy after years in the dispensary world, where I answered thousands of the same questions with love, clarity, and a little New York edge. I’ve seen firsthand what makes a customer trust a brand (and what makes them roll their eyes). I’ve also seen how hard it is to market cannabis in a regulated space — especially in a city like ours. Joint & Copy was inevitable: a space where SEO blog content meets cultural fluency, storytelling, and strategy that actually gets the assignment.
I’m here to help brands say what they really mean — in a voice that resonates, sells, and builds real trust with the people you want to reach. I’m here to translate plant education into scroll-stopping, sales-boosting content that sounds like you and makes your brand unforgettable. When I’m not building content systems or breaking down terpenes into human speak, you’ll find me out in nature catching a slow moment in the city, at a cannabis event, or a queer bar somewhere in Brooklyn.
Joint & Copy is my love letter to the weed world. If you’re a brand that sells cannabis products and cares about your voice, you're exactly who I made it for.
